Just received the BFI blu-ray set.
"Nosferatu" and "Stroszek" are all-time favorites. I can't wait discovering and rediscovering the other films.

Just a heads up to any Herzog/Kinski fans, TCM is screening a marathon of their films tonight. Fitzcarraldo, Stroszeck, Aguirre: The Wrath of God, Cobra Verde, Burden of Dreams, and a short documentary about an interesting wager between Herzog and Errol Morris.

Even though I have all this stuff and seen these films several times, didn't get much sleep last night.

You're in for a treat. 'Aguirre' is absolutely incredible. Klaus Kinski is a tour de force.

Aguirre is an experience, a really powerful movie, and one of my favorites. There are quite a few I haven't seen, but Cave of Forgotten Dreams is one of his documentaries that really hit me for some reason. Full of compelling ideas. Herzog is a fascinating guy.

All of Herzog's movies I've seen were incredible watches. Was "The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser" mentioned? Brilliant movie!

Disagree strongly. Herzog made it clear that Treadwell was a deeply troubled man. Several people say as much in the film. It was his pathological obsession that drove him to Alaska in the first place. This led him to capture some amazing footage that no conventional documentarian would even try for.

I’ve recently bought the BFI Werner Hertzog box Set .

I watched Nosferatu the other night . Superb. Kinski was tremendous as The Count . Beautiful shot, poetic, dreamlike , some amazing scenes . Fantastic music - such a great adaptation .

Herzogs masterpiece by far. Most original and hypnotic. Fitzcarraldo fizzles out for me. Kaspar Hauser I found dull. Do like his docs. - especially my best fiend. Never saw Nofteratu. That’ll be next b

Big Herzog fan here. Seeing Aguirre for the first time, witnessing that awesome opening sequence of them winding their way along that incredible mist-shrouded Inca mountain trail, I knew the movie was going to be something special. Of his recent work, I really liked Into The Inferno.

In the humble brag department, I have a semi-one degree of separation with him as my brother had a working relationship with Werner a couple of years ago curating his documentaries for AMPAS.

'Aguirre' might just be his crowning achievement. That one floored me the first time I saw it. Haunting and hypnotic, and my favorite Kinski performance.

If you haven't seen 'Stroszek,' I highly recommend it. Arguably my favorite Herzog flick, but then, I can't exactly explain why it's great. It's so unique and unlike any other picture I've ever seen.
