yeah! I remember that from the 88 tour even, when they played here in The Netherlands. Each time I heard that "ping" from echoes, friend of mine (who didnt knew much from Floyd) thought I was going crazy. It was like some weird Pavlov's Dog experiment, wich went on for tens of minutes before the show started. Love these little details just to let you know, you're at at a PF concert.

When I was in Pompeii with my wife (then girlfriend) in 2016 to see Gilmour perform at the famous amphitheatre, they also played ambient music. At one point she asked if I could go and buy a bottle of water and so I did and made it back before the concert started. But to my horror I realized I missed the Ping which was an obvious tribute!:yikes::rant::mudscrying:
    I still haven't forgiven her ;)

Apparently one of the reasons Echoes was dropped from the set was that David was tired of singing about albatrosses

Maybe because this guy was walking thru the audience during Echoes at the time

I can't wait for this release something i have been wishing wanting for year's. I got into PF thru Pulse.
Keep Talking from Foxboro 2nd night was that the only complete song they filmed or did MTV film complete show's. Hopefully now PF LTD own the right's to that footage it see's the light of day.

If we don't get Atlanta 87 complete show i think it is likely we will get Venice 89 officially released finally on CD/DVD/BluRay in this release.

    Hahahaa good one :D :D :D

I would love to see an alternative 1994 show on DVD! I've seen PULSE so many times it would be nice with a change.

I'm also hoping they'll include Venice 89! It's a great show and it would be great to see a cleaned up version!

Do you think an alternative 1994 show will be really different?

There were 2 different set lists, one which featured DSOTM in its entirety for the second set. Plus there were songs mentioned that were one-offs like Marooned, Lost for Words and Poles Apart.

Even if they don't have full a pro-shot non dsotm show. It would be cool if they gave us the complete Bootlegging the Bootlegger's Chantilly 94 show. I hope they did that complete show and only released at the time WDYWFM,OTTA, Poles Apart from it on the Pulse DVD. This release would be the best time to release it in full from their own edit of that show. As those 3 songs are so good really capture the show stage lighting & band interactions and is clearly a performance which where the band is not in auto pilot, would be a great addition a full audience shot recording from 1994 with great audio and capturing the show from a different angle in full.

Exactly and how great would it be to have a non-Dark Side set at an outdoor venue. That would be very different from the PULSE DVD. Especially if it opens with Astronomy Domine!
