Really I could have stopped after Strangers, as that's THE SONG I think about when I imagine a great pop song.

And another from my long list of offerings...a song that gives me chills every time I hear it, and a snapshot of everything that makes not only music what it is, but the wonder of everything in life that is both good and unknown...

“Make a promise, take a vow,
and trust your feelings, it’s easy now...”

And one of my all-time favorite love songs...a beautiful song in every way...pop perfection..

Not to overuse an already overused cliche, but the bottom line holds...they don’t make them like this anymore... :)

And not to be outdone by the one above, this beautiful fellow #1 hit from the very same year...

I think I already posted the two above on here before, but shame on me if I didn’t!

I was too lazy at the moment to check...:D

We talk endlessly, don't get anywhere
Born in reality, cradled in care
If you needed me or mistreated me
Won't you still be there ?

And those lonely nights, when you find it hard
    Losing your appetite, breaking apart
If you needed me or mistreated me
    Don't break my heart

Otis Redding's "Dock Of The Bay" IMHO is just about perfect. Percy Sledge singing "When A Man Loves A Women" is my close second!

Boston- More Than A Feeling. How could anyone not like that song?? It has everything, great guitar, great vocals, hooks. I was hooked from the first time I heard this song in 1976.
