There is hope that Net Neutrality is going to come back... Victory! The House of Representatives Passes Net Neutrality Protections
I'm expecting not much at all for a while. Maybe in time for the MCU Phase 5 or whatever; it was recently stated that Marvel has a 5 year plan for the next films that don't involve any Fox acquisitions.
Very telling, and surprised. Deadpool soooo popular.Way overrated ( first one was ok). But ..the audience seem to want Captain Marvel/The Avengers related more. So Dark Phoenix looks to be the last X-Men film till 2025.Fat chance of FF ( 3rd time around )getting some action ..maybe do a X-Men -Fantastic 4 team up.
I guarantee you Kevin Feige is salivating to do the Fantastic Four right. I just hope Marvel has not lost its mojo by then.
Why would you support something that would stunt R&D and infrastructure spending and stifle innovation, as well as potentially lead to censorship? The title sounds nice until you read the bill and understand that the real world is not a theory and unintended, and intended, consequences abound. This is the same foolish thinking that wanted legislation to force cable providers to unbundle. The free market is taking care of these things quite nicely. Faster and more internet access than ever before and more consumption choices than ever even before both Disney and Apple enter the space by the end of 2019.
I have no doubt that Avengers: Endgame and Spiderman: Far from Home will both do very well. But there's a lot of schadenfreude in Hollywood, and some industry people are just waiting for Marvel to finally fail at something, particularly something big.
No doubt they are. The question now is, where do you think the Marvel franchise is going to go from here, after endgame. After this year, Star Wars will be over. It has run its course for the present time. Disney will continue to remake their animated classic's. But what do you think will be the next "rabbit's" that they will be pulling out of the hat?
- Marvel movies will carry on - MCU II - Captain Marvel/Guardians and probably more are in the works - Pixar - Star Wars, they are currently in the lab working on the next phase - AVATAR II - will it become the first $3B movie?
Good question? Maybe, but I think that the elapsed time frame between Avatar and Avatar II will hurt its box office performance. It has been so long. Other franchises have taken hold and have the public's attention. Avatar was revolutionary, but a large part of that was the 3D, which is now become commonplace. Performance capture, Alita has taken it to the next step already. It does have the success of the original movie going strong for it. But I saw Alita as a similar type of movie and it's reception was only luke warm, despite having Cameron and Rodriguez. Maybe, in a few years... They have done everything that they could possible do to wear out the franchise. I think that it will take some time and serious CPR to revive it.

Worthy of note: James Cameron is 64 years old today as of today, birthday in August. That means he'll be 73 when the last Avatar comes out. Now that's a work ethic!
Titanic is from 1997. If the the last Avatar flick is out in 2027, that's 30 years of titanic avatars...
Well so far, we haven't seen much of a work ethic? He hands off Alita to Rodriguez, because he is busy with the Avatar sequels?
So it appears that they have one Star Wars trilogy coming in the next decade, but two have been officially announced, the Rian Johnson trilogy and the Benioff and Weiss trilogy. Johnson's trilogy was announced before The Last Jedi was released. The movie did gangbusters at the box office but was a tad controversial. Benioff and Weiss, of course, are coming off of a modestly successful show called Game of Thrones. Some of you may have heard of it. Kathleen Kennedy recently stated that Benioff and Weiss will be working very closely with Rian Johnson. Some interpreted her vague comments to mean that they will be mapping out the future of Star Wars together. Some have speculated that Benioff and Weiss and Rian Johnson will be working on the same project. So place your bets. Which one are we getting, Rian Johnson, Benioff and Weiss or a combination of the two?
