How many records do you have?

If not many, buy more and go current equipment route.

If many many, get new equipment and relive your lp collection.

Related note, in the past year or so I’ve dipped a toe into the BN original pond and the water is VERY nice. Nicer then I could have imagined.

Errr wait, I mean it sucks. They are all noisy and scratched.

Get the records while you can. Hardware will always be around for when your lottery ticket comes in.

I grew up in the late 70's/early 80's so vinyl is what was the norm for me. At the moment my collection is maybe around 800ish, but pretty well curated, and fairly eclectic. Only LPs in excellent condition that I enjoy playing. I've lost a lot of vinyl over the years from moving, crappy relationships etc. etc. But now I'm in a house we'll stay in for the long haul and I've been actively adding to the collection.

Unless you get an outboard stage I'd stick with the high output option. The 2275 will be noisy with a SUT by comparison to a nice, dedicated phono stage. The 10x5 mk2 is out now and sounds better than the old 10x5, The stylus is closer to what they are using on their LOMC carts.

I use a Rothwell Headspace head amp and find it pretty awesome as it is very adjustable and can be used with a variety of LO carts. Very quiet too.
