A lot of assumptions being made about his state of mind. This just sounds to me like another breezy song he wrote about wishing the sun would come out. Maybe he’ll bring kids on stage to help him sing it.

I once saw a bowl of thick French Onion soup wiggle.

It couldn’t have wiggled but it may have wobbled....

I knew that wiggly soup was a real thing. I had some after riding in the big red car.

I’m sure Bruce knows exactly how derivative the song is lyrically and musically. I’m going to consider it a homage to Goodtime Charlie, the others mentioned, and that 70s related sound. I quite like it.

Not sure about regular album releases but the 2018 RSD First version of Greatest Hits was red translucent vinyl.

You are correct. I meant radio charts, should have said that. It will def sell and I would think #1 as you said. At least the first week.

that dylan test pressing thing for record store day hit the charts, not high, but it did hit the charts. they only printed a couple of thousand, most of then defective but still hit the charts. charts have no meaning anymore.

Also, Barnes & Noble had a tortoise shell colored vinyl edition of Chapter And Verse.

The cover reminds me of the Black Stallion/Golden Stallion books I read as a kid.

I am a huge fan and, like my favorite group The Who, I don’t listen to all or even own all his albums.

I’ll likely skip the solo tour (unless he plays close). I’ll be there for the next E Street tour.

Is the tour definite? I hope he doesn’t take Nils. We need him in Crazy Horse so Neil can stop playing with Willie’s kids. Ugh

I don't own, didn't like last 3 albums, also just recently pulled what i liked off D&D, Magic donated them to my library so i'm used to at this point not liking his newer stuff. It's time I think to just say he gave us decades of great stuff , and it's enough to have all that to listen to. This song isn't bad , like the vibe, not crazy about his vocal on it,I'll listen to more and see but may be just another I don't purchase from him.

I like that he doesn't cram too many words in there as he's done in the past. Just the right amount, and the music both carries and serves the lyrics remarkably well.

Interesting article. I like the funny quote 'Bruce Springsteen could walk out on stage in a leotard and play a penny whistle and still sell out stadiums'

It's actually more "country" than a lot of what passes for country these days.....

Well, it's got a steel guitar on it, that's about it.

Yeah, but in fairness - what exactly is country music these days.

Wow, I really like Hello Sunshine! It's got a great laid back and melancholic sound that really resonates with me right now. after reading many of the posts above, i was a little worried about hearing the song. Let's hope that Western Heroes is something different from Springsteen. I myself have not liked his output post Tunnel of Love, except Magic. really looking forward to this album, i really hope the album is what its cracked up to be a return to character songs, and less political messages.

Yeah, but the E Street Band is just about the greatest rock band of all time.
After playing with them everything else one does will seem anti-climatic.
Across the highway on F Street, where women wore furs and were chauffeured
in limos, the bands called themselves orchestras and played a totally different
kind of music. Some of it rubbed off.

1985 had a couple picture disc 12 inches that appear official. Pink Cadillac car shaped disc being one. Human Touch picture disc in Europe.

RSD Hits and C&V retailer exclusive.
