There is room in this world for them to have The Black Crowes (for money or the love of it... whatever) but do it in a reasonable capacity. One where the key members (Ford, Gorman, brothers) don't get burned out and might actually look forward to it and become inspired. And then they have the majority of the year to really dive into their own projects (CRB, MPS, Radio Show, etc).
Phish does it now... and granted, they're all good friend, but they were burning out from the pressure.

But only the version included on Greatest Hits Vol 3 which was a re-recording done by Brendan O'Brien, with only Dylan's vocals remaining from the original take.

None of the other versions include Mr Gorman on drums.

I'd go see the brothers play with a bunch of nobodies. I haven't seen the Crowes since the Oasis tour and am starved to hear that catalog live. I'd even see As The Crow Flies. Sorry, guys. :)

No, that one is from the 1989 sessions for Oh Mercy. The one with Gorman was the first officially released however.

This may turn out to be the case.

On CRB.com, they've removed Sept. and October tour dates. Final one date is 8/22 at Lockn.

What!? Horrible news! I really did not want to believe that CRB is done. Awesome band, especially live. I want to cry.

Looks like Adam changed his bio on Twitter to "musician". Didn't it list CRB previously?

They just need to come out with it already.

This slow drip is ridiculous. Just rip off the band aid and get people used to the news. We don't need the Steve Hagars of the world being the pied piper of innuendo.

I’ve seen them four times and it was always a really good show. On the other hand, I’ve never been a huge Adam or Neal fan and don’t have an interest in either outside of CRB. To me they’re solid sidemen. In my opinion, both are dwarfed by Chris’ talent.

Agreed - almost like the CRB is/was greater than the sum of their parts. Love Neal in the CRB but no real inclination to hunt out other stuff

I don't know about that. Divisive as he is, Adam is hugely talented.

It's his playing on some of the Crowes songs. To some, he butchers songs like Wiser Time. They call him Oven Mitts? Something like that.

(and by "for some", I mean me as well lol)

I think Adam is a good player and the "Oven Mitts" moniker is kind of rude. He does have his own style and with CRB is very synth-heavy which isn't for everyone.

I am hearing for the upcoming ATCF gig it will be Jackie Greene and Benji Shanks on guitar. Not sure on keys but I've been hearing Joel Robinow as an Adam replacement for CRB so that is a definite possibility.

Neal should grab that band and hit the road as the front man. He's got a dozen records of his own material to draw from, plus I don't doubt that band could create great new music without involving the dude under FBI investigation who we'll hopefully never hear from again.
