Love the album but I'll pass on this one. I'm happy with the old Classic Records release.

I want it if only to compare with the Classic, but I don't think I'll find it in a cut-out bin.

And, I wish mofi and AP would actually feature a one-step female voice soon, seems so one-sided

Love the Wilson remaster. Don’t need this.

I have the original press, MFSL, DCC, Classic Records Clarity 45rpm, and the Steve Wilson remix vinyl and DVDs. I will get the UHQR for collector purposes only, which I know is nuts, but I can't help myself.

Why why why, can't AP take a little risk and press another title from Jethro Tull?

No, I avoid picture discs, as they are noisy.

Yeah, not the greatest, it's the 25th anniversary mastered by Peter Mew for the wall.

There is no such thing like a Wilson remaster.

    Like...... "A"? :cop:

But seriously at the moment the labels seem to be relentlessly putting out those classic rock reissues. As if it was the last stand before the target audience is "too old to rock n roll". But not too young to die!

this one almost reaches a Pet Sounds level of over reissue IMO. the Wilson box was enough really.
To think of all the great albums that never see this kind of treatment....

To be fair, Steven Wilson gets a mastering credit on the latest set.
To my knowledge (having helped with the Adapted Edition), it's minimal mastering on the transfer if any.

This is not a record that has aged well. Hard pass.

I recently slimmed my Aqualung collection down to an original press, the Classic clarity 45 RPM and the SW box set. But ... I know I'll probably end up dropping the cash and buying the UHQR anyway. Heck, I just broke down and bought the SRV Mofi one-step even though I already owned the AP 45 RPM. I don't give a crap. I know I'm crazy. I console myself by remembering these special editions are relatively affordable luxuries.

DCC gold is so pretty and so easy. Not sure I want this enough to get up four times from the couch. Let me sleep on it.

I copy of the DCC CD(think was Like New-NM Condition-IIRC) just sold yesterday on Ebay for about $69-$70, and that is as low of a Price as I ever saw it available for. I already owned a copy or would have entered the bidding.

I wonder if the Aqualung will take a year and a half to deliver.
