The goddamn Big Note book continues to fuel Zappa purchases. Just used that 20% of $75 deal from Import CDs via eBay to get MORE.

Hot Rats Vinyl - Upgrade/Addition to my 1995 Ryko CD
Chungas Vinyl - Upgrade to my 1990 Ryko CD
Absolutely Free Vinyl - Upgrade to my 1995 Ryko CD
YCDTOSA Vol 3 2012 CD - which i either never bought on CD before or loaned out in collage and never received it back.

It is a tremendous curse. Next on my radar is to upgrade my copies of Burnt Weenie and Sheik.

...and Tom Leavey on bass. He and his wife ran a jazz club here in AZ in the '80's. Once when I was at the club he told me Elliot Ingber was babysitting his kids that evening so he and his wife could be at work.

I know I'm not breaking any new ground here, but I listen to One Size Fits All fairly regularly.

I can't get enough of Florentine Pogen or Andy....two of my favorite Zappa songs.

I also heard Dancin' Fool recently, so I had to listen to Sheik Yerbouti a few times. And that album makes me want to hear Joe's Garage. And I often jump from Joe's Garage to Waka/Jawaka and the Grand Wazoo.

I know the topic calls for a single disc, but it seems like any one Zappa album can turn into a rabbit hole....

I was at loss for words when I first heard this record.
Frank is definitely one of those incredibly talented soloists who could just play the guitar as long as he wants to and make it work. Just like Prince.

Just received it today and gave it a spin. I like it but it's a bit too short? also can someone clarify if the solos appear on other records (Guitar?) Under different titles? thanks
