Kinda wish they didn’t charge til it ships, but I should probably just pull the trigger anyway

Pre-ordered by phone a week or two. I’m looking forward to imagining how great it sounds on a system far, far better than mine.

Got my preorder in months ago. Might snag a second copy before it sells out.

I pre-ordered by phone as well. Anyone else surprised they are pressing 9000? That seems like a lot, even for Bob Dylan. Bill Evans was only 6000 in comparison.

Doesn't this defeat the purpose of a "1step" or am i understanding the process wrong?

I ordered over a year ago.

It’s not being issued anytime soon, is it?

Not a Dylan fan so will likely pass on this one.

Ordered couple months ago. Especially excited after getting good copy of RSD test pressing.

Just got Portait In Jazz and listening as I write this. If the sound on PIJ is any indication I am even more excited.

This is a tough one for me. Finally, another one step release I care about. But, the standard release is awfully good as is the original vinyl. 9,000 copies? Hardly limited. That’s 3x the limit on their normal releases. I think they’ve taken this a bit too far.

I’m kind of surprising myself here but I’m leaning toward no big time. We’ll see.

I hate that MoFi charges when ordered. If I decided to do this one I guess I would have to call MD. Correct

9000 is pushing it. Dylan's 45 rpms aren't all sold out yet!

I wonder if they will stop regular releases and just do 1 steps???

Ordered by phone via Music Direct last week. Very excited! :)

My only previous One Step purchase has been the "Sunday Night At The Village Vangaurd" Bill Evans and I was very impressed with it.

Surprised the quantities have continued to double, but MoFi is (I think) trying to ride the wave of BOTT popularity. Their MFSL pressing sold out and is big money now, and the test pressing was frankly a big addition for Dylan's catalog altogether. I'm happy it's not 1500 or 3000 like the initial ones though as well, this gives more people a chance to experience it. Although frankly I think 6000 would have been sufficient.

We'll see how these do on the secondary market years later. My guess is there is A LOT of sealed copies

To those who have the regular mofi and rsd, how much better sounding is the mofi? I realize half the songs are a different performance.

I'm happy with the sound of the rsd, so trying to decide if the 1 step will be ridiculously better

    I look forward to this.

What about the speed-up issues, will this edition have them?

It has the Minneapolis tracks not on the RSD or the Bootleg Series.
Of course it will be better.

Music Direct charges when it ships, unlike MOFI.

I am very much in. My favorite Dylan album.

I literally cannot wait for this.

Both are different experiences. I enjoy both the test pressing versions and the official equally. When I listen now I usually listen to the test pressing version.

If you are a fan of the album, youll need both. As to the sq improvement on the one-step? Well, I havent heard anyone say of the other one-steps that they are inferior to other versions.

This is the one Ive been waiting for though. So mine is ordered.

And Im very happy they are pressing them in greater numbers. Hopefully all that want one can have one! Always a good thing. I hate eletist limited to small numbers BS.
