I think the new 2017 release is pretty good. As other mentioned, there's a Dolby issue that affects every and any release - but all things considered, the 2017 version sounds really great to me. And the packaging is faithful to the original LP. I recommend it.

I'm curious as to why the Dolby issue can't be corrected somehow.

This Croc Rock single, although not seeming to be the mono one referred to as the best, (I can't find it btw) sounds pretty good to me, or are my ears not good?

Wow! Elton or Bernie must have put these all up for auction. Surely no-one else would have owned all of this material.

Just received the 2017 release from Amazon (made in Czech Republic). Really sounds great compared to my late 1970's MCA USA pressing. So, I'm satified to keep this as my go to copy. The large booklet is a complete replica of the original. Comparing it to my MCA booklet it appears a little darker , not as bright as the colors appear to be a little off. Minor complaint, since I'm more interested in the pressing. Great job on the remastering and vinyl cutting. Oh, almost forgot to mention, the bass sounds great. Nice to hear Dee Murray pushed up to make it sound fuller and more modern.

Just found this on YouTube... is this the mono version Steve was referring to?

Yes, and the mono version of Elderberry Wine is on there as well.
