I'll go with Eagles, Poco, and the Flying Burrito Brothers.

Thinking back, it is really something to see how Poco had its members in so many different things. To note---

Jim Messina--Loggins and Messina (and don't forget the band Kenny Loggins was in-- a group called Gator Creek!)
Richie Furay-Buffalo Springfield, Souther Hillman and Furay Band
Paul Cotton- Illinois Speed Press
Timmy Schmidt- Eagles
Rusty Young- Boenzee Cryque

Boenzee Cryque was a small local band out of Denver. Their big hit on the local charts was a song called "still In Love With You" whixh was the flip side to the Beau Brummels 45 "Laugh Laugh", released in 1965. BC's version came out a couple years later. I live near Grand Junction, Colo., which is where Rusty grew up. Got to talk to him a few times-great guy!

 

I'm going to add Moby Grape into the mix.

It's hard not to say Little Feat but I group them (somewhat idiosyncraticially I'm sure) with Average White Band and Dr John and the more funk oriented stuff.

That's the Trifecta, IMO.

I would definitely call Blue Rodeo country rock. Having said that,

*I wanted to say Lynyrd Skynyrd but I know I will get vetoed on the category. From my perspective both Lyrnyrd and Little Feat are country rock.

However, honourable mentions to The Dillards, Great Speckled Bird, The Stone Ponies, Rick Roberts and many others. So many great bands & performers.

Couple of points: I'll never understand the hate for the Eagles. If they sold in, say, Country Gazette quantities, I reckon they would be critics' darlings.

Secondly, good as he is, I've always regarded Gram Parsons as straight-up country. Not too much rock in his catalogue to my ears.
