Along w/Brian May = Queen. Here's a performance of Queen & Foo Fighters. This is w/Taylor Hawkins (one of the most underrated drummers) doing lead vocals. IMO, Taylor Hawkins needs to be fronting a band; he's the only part of Foo Fighters I can tolerate. Favorite Queen song: Tie Your Mother Down. Fantastic performance!!
Les Bennetts (Lonnie Donegan's band, circa '57) Nonchalantly chewing gum whilst peeling off rapid fire melodic runs on a Hofner(?) with guitar strings that were probably as thick as baling wire. Shred in every sense!
Underrated guitarists Robin Guthrie A brilliant guitarist, totally unique & innovative. He was only 19 when he made his first album with his band Cocteau Twins.
Part of the reason is at live shows, every time Andy would kick in the drive on his guitar and start a solo, it would only take Sting about 10 seconds to start throwing daggers at him with his eyes and shut him down. Andy is way under rated as a guitar player. He never got much of a chance to show it during his time in the Police.
