I’m fixated on the Anniversary dates which means nothing considering the Wedding Album Box was just released in March preempting my theory by six months. But still....

Didn't ask for a hint:)... but I knew it wasn't another music box set. I sure hope it's not a Shea bluray. Don't get me wrong, but that ship sailed long ago. Folks here think CDs are dying? Music DVDs/BR are almost extinct. Guess we'll know soon enough. Ron

  5. No way Shea would be more popular than Abbey Road on any scale.

Abbey Road still sells and streams more copies every month than the entire run of Opie’s Beatles concert film.

Mike, I know you can't say much, so I'm gonna try to weasel into figuring out what it is. Does this BIG box contain the letter "E" somewhere in its title?

Maybe the “E” is silent? ;)

No more 1s or greatest hits sets or Yellow Submarine/Magical Mystery Tour deluxe editions!

Rubber Soul and Revolver need to be given the proper attention that they rightly deserve!!!

I do not want to wait until 2021 or 2022 for this. Get it done!

It makes no sense to bypass these albums for material that isn’t remotely as good.

Spare me the Anthology repackages too.

Apologies if someone has suggested this already, but what about a "1" (or "1"-esque) box set of 7"s in reproduction picture sleeves? It'd be a "big" item for collectors while still not stepping on an AR50 box, as a "Revolver" or other expanded-album box might. As with the Christmas mini-box coming out the same year as Pepper50, it'd squeeze some dough out of the fans while not taking any of the major / more high-profile projects off the table.

I reckon this is a good guess. I hope it's not the case though.

It's bugging me what could be deemed so big that it is possibly pushing back the release of an Abbey Road 50th?

The other 5oth anniversary this September would be the Live Peace in Toronto album by the Plastic Ono Band. Could a reissue of this be the other boxset? Could this be expanded? Did they record the rehearsals for this show? If they reissued the Wedding Album, surely the Toronto gig deserves at least as much attention?
