    This is a play on the "Cover Versions We Don't Need" thread except these are covers that are so different and unique from the original we really, really needed them. Post your favorites!

  6. If I could bring Husker Du back from the dead, I’d get them to cover “Surrender” by Cheap Truck. Bob Mould has covered it live, which indicates how good a Du version could’ve been.

    It’s the first one I thought of, it’s just superb. I believe even Trent Reznor has been quoted as saying it’s better than his original version.

    los freddys penny lane. it was "needed" in mexico i guess.
    The lyrics are better imo. music is close.
    the original lyrics is about a street. the spanish version is about a girl called penny lane.
