According to Amazon Germany https://www.amazon.de/Complete-Matr...140011&s=music&sprefix=velvet+,aps,198&sr=1-9 I've got the cd set, but sorely tempted by this.
How will Sister Ray(s) fit on a side? And...I wish I had a full time job! edit: Ah, I see. They've done the American Pie with Sister Ray.
Cheaper postage as well, at least to Canada. Don't think I really need this but I might pre-order anyway
Tempting indeed but the chance of new record quality keeps me very apprehensive, so much so I will stick with my 4CD box set & remain content
The CDs are wonderful and there are live tracks in it that I love more than the studio versions. Of course the vinyl will be killer! JULY!
Surprised I received a shipping notice from Amazon France today, 96 bucks shipped to USA not bad for 8 lp set.
I know these tapes aren't the highest of fi to begin with, but I'll be curious to hear how folks think the records sound. Mastering these disks seems like it would be a challenge to me. A couple of the sides will run near a half hour like old Todd Rundgren records.
Yes, I'm curious to hear if the vinyl is any improvement on the sound of the cd release. Not curious enough to lay out the bucks for it, though. "Sister Ray" is split over 2 sides.
Seems a low price but since it’s put out by Polydor I assume this is not a grey market release. Never heard these shows so this might be the time.
First thought: I'm In!!! Second thought: I wonder if these are just mastered from the CDs...Ima wait and see what new info comes to light. Third Thought: Eff it, life is short, I'm ordering it. Fourth thought: …………… eff.
I know you never know until you know with these record companies, but the full set was released in hi-res, they'd have to almost go out of their way to not press the 24 bit files
Thanks for nudging me, I was glued to the top of that fence. US$111 shipped to Phoenix. I presume I can cancel the order if it shows up on the US Amazon site.
