They must have a LOT of spare cash to give away on account of them recently charging my card months ahead of a pre-order. I'm sure they raked it in with that cunning stunt!

 

Perhaps that is why they are doing this? Spin control from an unpopular move?

In case any in the US are looking for this, I just ordered (what I assume will be) a UK copy of the new Springsteen album; 26.91 shipped to the US.

 

What day did this come through? Checking my spam filter. Assume middle last week. Nothing so far, not that I need encouragement.

 

I got mine Thursday or Friday last week.

 

I got the first one on Friday, spent it the same day. Today got a mail that the album had shipped and 5 mins later I got a second mail with another discount code.
I have no idea which parameters they used, I buy about 90% from Amazon.de and Amazon.fr (because I get free shipping). In fact I got the initial code from amazon.co.uk a week or two after I bought my very first album from them this year !

 

I got charged on ordering and got the apology email, but didn't get a voucher so who knows why they are doing it.

 

I got a £5 Vinyl voucher too, and also a £5 credit after I complained about their “experiment” with pre order customers

 

Very reasonable for the Freewheelin' - and in stereo for the first time in ages.

£35 seems to be the fee they drop too when they have stock so always worth waiting until they drop. Approaching Christmas period these will be like gold dust again.

Okay, not sure it works if you are a prime customer already but assume could get my wife to sign up for the free trial. Either way, worth a try.

 

Irrelevant whether or not you are a Prime customer, it’s simply signing up for Amazon Music Unlimited, which Prime customers do not enjoy. As long as you sign up before next Monday, you will get the trial and in 30 days, once you pay for the service, a code for an Echo Dot at 99p. Just remember to cancel the subscription once you’ve ordered the device.

I signed up for (yet) another one of these because it will allow me to have a stereo Echo setup in my bedroom.
