HMV ‘Vinyl Week’ sale

Does anyone know HMV’s returns/refund policy these days?

 

I got the blue vinyl Solid Air and the Tom Petty Best Of Everything vinyl box mastered by Chris Bellman. Both are flawless on playback. I had to walk home in heavy rain but the shrink-wrap kept everything fine!

 

So nipped into Wolverhampton today, much bigger sale section than Telford, picked up The Charaltans “wonderland” , Semisonic (well pleased with that), Teenage Fanclub “shadows” from the sales and Curtis Mayfield from the Exclusives on yellow Vinyl to add to last weekends pick ups , so I’m proper skint now

 

To add to last week's blue Solid Air, they also had the Abbey Road half-speed master for £15 in the sale this lunchtime. I think that makes four copies of the LP for me....

 

They'll take back sealed stuff no problem (with a receipt). I returned a Mac DeMarco LP last week that I'd bought for my son not knowing he already had the CD. Opened stuff, not sure, although if it's damaged/defective, I think they're obliged (again, with a receipt)

 

Blue Solid Air ? Was that part of Saturday's releases ? I saw no sign of that. They brought out a green vinyl a couple of years ago but unfortunately Side Two was marred by a ghastly tick at the end of the second track -on five copies !

 

The blue vinyl Solid Air was a 2018 Vinyl Week release but remaining copies were put in the sale for a tenner a couple of weeks back.

For £12.99p, what a bargain for a cool album.
Also my local Store has all new vinyl shelves at the right level and plenty of room
not to tight in the racks.
Half the length on one side nearly and a rack in the middle of new release and
Clearance vinyl, very happy floyd.

I mean that there a few 45RPM releases that don’t say so. I think Music From Big Pink is like that and also Peter Gabriel's Passion.

Now that I'm home I need to correct that as I’m afraid it’s not helpful at all.

The Band's Pink reissue of "Big Pink" DOES say 45 RPM on the labels but not on the sleeve.

Gabriel's "Passion" soundtrack says 45 RPM on a hype sticker only (which I keep and stick somewhere plain).

I’m told that Winehouse's outtakes double LP revolves at 45 but doesn’t declare this. I don’t own it, so can’t confirm that.

The sound on this Goldblum is spectacular and it’s one of the best pressings I’ve ever heard. Could do with less of the chat and glad he doesn’t sing but that said, it’s supremely enjoyable.
