Sounds like S3 is already an improvement on S2.

The use of Superorganism's Something For Your Mind was fantastic. It was a fun song before the episode and and just as much fun seeing it used as they did.

On the end credits, am I seeing too much from the kaleidoscope that turned into a large X for a few seconds before fading away, combined with a preview of David talking to his father?

Lauren Tsai is rather stunning! The first episode was great! Listened to both through the stereo setup this season!

The good music continues. There was a nice use of The Beta Band near the end of the most recent episode and an interesting cover of REM’s “Can’t Get There from Here” in the credits.

They used Captain Sensible's "Wot!" in s03e03 to GREAT affect!

The second I heard the guitar I knew they hit gold!

And the Time Eaters are blue meanies!

A lot of the people I could tell about this series, I probably couldn't get them to watch more than one episode. This is a deep dive even if you get the complexity of Marvel storytelling. You do have to be in it to win it.

And I'm not good with matching lyrics to plot points, which seems to be getting more and more significant as it goes on; the music clip could be referring to the mindset of a character, could be a plot twist, could be a rumination on the overarching theme...or intentionally-contrasting of any of these. When you're trying hard to follow the storyline as is, it's hard to be distracted by what you're missing if you're not trying to decipher the unfamiliar sound of a vocalist singing unpredictable music styles.

That said though, a lot more series should be able to "show off" at the level this one does. This is like Donnie Darko as a CW project directed by Michel Gondry.

I struggled through season 2 so I've been putting off season 3... based on some of the comments maybe I'll start watching again.

Really? I feel JUST the opposite.

Maybe David has influenced me, and the Shadow King influenced you - and that's why we see the same events so differently?

I wouldn't go that far, but the weirdness of season 2 being dialed down a bit is a bummer. My main problem with Season 3 is the premise of David as a hippie cult leader. It's a bit tedious. Still, though - great show.

Sure, the previous season (s) were a little more 'abstract', but this has all been a weird and wonderful 'experiment in television'!

    Well...
    That was done well...
I still done 'get' why they're using "Wot"!......
    Weird...and silly....

Got through Season 1 (see posts above) and enjoyed Hawley's effort. Tried Season 2 and just wasn't motivated to watch. Then on my DVR was the first show of Season 3. Not sure how it got recorded but I pressed play and holy crap I was knocked out. It was outstanding and I've watched the rest of the season with glee and giddiness. Do I even know what's really going on? No way, I just appreciate the creativity of Hawley's interpretation of the Marvel comic. The series finale is Monday which will be directed by Hawley and I'm hoping for a truly memorable sendoff. My predictions are...forget it I'm not even going to attempt it. Anything can happen but pretty sure present day David will die. BTW David uses "Wot" the Capatain Sensible ditty to distract the Shadow King entering his mind.

I really loved the episode about Syd’s second childhood. Weird and well-done.

Also, I’m not sure why folks had such a difficult time with season two. Too avant-garde?
