Roxy music was working on a follow up to Avalon in the 2000s, never was released. Bummer.

I didn't feel like going through all the previous posts however I'm sure the David Ackles Elektra comp There is A River was already mentioned but if not, here you go.

I good friend of mine has been holding his breath awaiting the Dire Straits MoFi 45rpm’s

We laid him rest last weekend, it was a lovely service.

Not real, I’m afraid. The EP was certainly considered for release in 1969, but no artwork has ever surfaced. This is a photoshopped mockup that, to my mind, perfectly captures the period feel.

Not quite. The Deluxe John Barleycorn Must Die included only 7 of the 12 Fillmore songs.

    The following songs are missing:
Pearly Queen, Heaven Is In Your Mind, John Barleycorn Must Die, Means To An End and Dear Mr. Fantasy.

There was renewed hope for release of these when a complete Island recordings of Traffic box set was rumored but we were only to be disappointed again after Steve Winwood nixed the project.

When we got bob seger early years vol. 1 we were promised their would be a volume 2. I know as soon as I breakdown and buy those Argentina cds he will announce it or a complete career covering boxset.

Bummer. We could use those missing songs, plus:

Mulberry Bush soundtrack stuff, 45 versions of Medicated Goo & Shanghai Noodle Factory, the alternate take of Feelin’ Alright, outtakes from Canteen, On The Road, Santa Monica 1972, Fillmore West 1968 (Last Exit)
ooh, i’d like to see that! Capricorn was wise enough to record a healthy number of shows for use.

Janet LaValley from Tribe was supposed to have a solo album in the 90's. I think was recorded but the record label refused to release it.

    Sibelius’ Eighth Symphony.

Symphony Hall has received an important letter from Sibelius, the composer, about his new Symphony, the Eighth. It is completed, and the score will soon be on the way to Boston.
    (Boston Evening Transcript, December 1931)

Sibelius burned the manuscript of the symphony in 1945, and only a few fragments survive.

Gregg Allman's One More Try An Anthology. Released in 1997, but quickly recalled. Some of the few that got out now sell for a premium on Amazon and ebay.

If you can find one, by all means get it! Easily the greatest Gregg Allman Anthology. How ironic that it's the one that's quickly recalled.
