I'm rewatching the last couple of episodes of last season first. Lots of things packed into that season!
I watched the first two episodes of season five last night and this season is based on the Two Kinds of Truth book.
This might be of interest to Connelly fans. Don Winslow trilogy being made into FX series! Don Winslow's 'Cartel' Trilogy is Becoming an FX Series
I intended to watch only two episodes but Season 5 was so compelling that I binge watched all 10 episodes. At times it seemed that there were too many story-lines but overall it kept my attention throughout. I find it interesting that next season's main story-lines are revealed.
I just recently started watching this great detective Amazon Prime show. I’m on the second season, I can’t get enough of this will written show. The main character Harry Bosch is a really cool guy with a short temper but keeps it together. He is also a jazz vinyl collector with a very high end turntable setup. I love this show and all the visual settings in southern CA, I’m from the New York area and like seeing all the beautiful locations and also the gritty areas of downtown LA. Does anybody else like this show?
I finally watched a bit of it the other day. Well-made, well-acted, etc; but, as someone who has been reading the books for years, the transition from page to screen wasn't working for me. My guess is that I probably would've liked it if I'd never read the books; but I think the image of Bosch that I've created in my head over years of reading is probably vivid enough to make any on-screen version fail for me.
Love it! Finished Season 5 last weekend. Was VERY disappointed that season 5 was available (in Australia) on Prime for one day, before being pulled. Something about a contract with SBS TV Australia. I waited, and waited for some news of an air date on SBS, before I caved and watched it through other means. (Bosch was the only reason I didn't cancel Prime after the Grand Tour ended). Probably my favourite TV series at the moment. My wife and I are going to start watching season 1 again soon I like a good, old school, slow burning series.....
I watched the first two seasons and flamed out for some reason. I like Titus Welliver and Jamie Hector as actors. I need to get back into this. That said, I did not like the first season that much. Jason Gedrick was not convincing as a serial killer and the show went a little too by the numbers. Overall, though, a good series.
It seems for most series I watch the flame out hits in season three and I bail. Quality, long running shows are much rarer.
Just got Amazon Prime on a 30 day free trial and immediately started watching this show. So far I really like it and I have read all of the books in the series. The main downside is my wife does not care for the show so I end up watching it when she is not around.
