I’m guessing many Saturday morning cartoons haven’t been aired in a long time.

My brain often confuses DOC with another short-lived Barnard Hughes sitcom, THE CAVANAUGHS, a decade or so later:

I always really liked Barnard Hughes. He was probably better as a character actor though, than as a lead. He played a priest on a couple of episodes of All In The Family and Bob's dad on The Bob Newhart Show. He was very funny in those.

Here's one not seen in years: DUET, a sitcom that premiered on the first Sunday night of the FOX network along with MARRIED WITH CHILDREN and THE TRACY ULLMAN SHOW. Everyone remembers MARRIED WITH CHILDREN - and a remnant of THE TRACY ULLMAN SHOW survives to this day as THE SIMPSONS.

I remember Duet probably only because I thought the lead actress was really cute.

Then Came Bronson. Have not seen it on TV since the early 80s.

I remember Mind Your Language...at the time I thought it was all good clean fun.

But regarding TV shows that are never shown anymore, I would have thought that most of them (that were made decades ago) are not repeated regardless of whether they are seen as being politically incorrect or not. I don't really watch TV nowadays though.

I'd love to see this on a DTV rerun subchannel, and DVD discs. I miss this.

I love this show too. And would love to see it back. P.S. theme song by Sammy Davis, Jr. Released on 20th Century Fox on 45, I own a promo 45 of this classic.

That's interesting, considering it was Jose Feliciano who sang the theme.

Only time it has run in the US since originally is when TV Land aired 2 episodes. It did have runs in Australia and Japan at some point but of course we have the full series in beautiful DVD now, so who cares.

Sword of Justice. But it only ran one season, so no chance I guess. My brother and I loved it and the fact that he would leave a "3" playing card at the scene.

Linus the Lionhearted, which CAN be seen on YouTube, being one (and based on Post cereal characters, including the still used Sugar Bear, but either it would be like a commerical too much or no relevance with it..)

Outside of that, Sarah M.Gellar's 1992 young teen spa[ Swans Crossing.. NewZoo RevUE IS ANOTHER..) Roger Ramjet, Big World :Little Adam
