Your wallet is going to be hurting this fall, and people are going to complain that the mystery box is a cash grab but buy it anyway.

CD releases of the Oldies and the Christmas singles would be very nice indeed.

If it IS a US singles box, there's no reason to believe they'd use the promo mix, which, of course, was not issued in the US on the commercial 45. The stock 45 used the standard mono mix, albeit with the opening bass note cut off. As for I'll Cry Instead, it's the same mono mix as what's on the mono Something New (from Capitol Albums, Vol. 1), but without the scraping of the guitar strings sound at the very beginning.

This is interesting if the Instagram post was indeed a leaked promo for the upcoming release. 'Ob-la-di' wasn't issued as a single in the US till 1976, so if it IS a singles box, it's either gonna a) include every US single, even the post-1970 releases, or b) (more likely) a cross-section of various single releases throughout the world, as 'Ob-la'di' was issued as a 45 in several countries in 1968.

Including Australia where it was a number 1. If that's the case there are quite a few unique to Australia singles. Rock & Roll Music is another one and also a number 1.

Agreed, but the Penny Lane promo would be an excellent choice as a bonus item for such a box...

The singles box set sounds like what it is going to be and if that's the case maybe that's why they didn't include Hey Jude/Revolution in last year's White Album box.
They were saving it maybe? So does that mean no Something single with the AR50 ?

  12. Rock & Roll Music wasn’t a single in the U.S. but it has always been a radio staple. Same thing with Money.

How about all the tracks from Sgt. Pepper (plus Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields) on individual singles:

If there's something I really DON'T need it's a box of singles that I already have.

    1 amounts to 24 singles:
    01) "Love Me Do"
    02) "From Me to You"
    03) "She Loves You"
    04) "I Want to Hold Your Hand"
    05) "Can't Buy Me Love"
    06) "A Hard Day's Night"
    07) "I Feel Fine"
    08) "Eight Days a Week"
    09) "Ticket to Ride"
    10) "Help!"
    11) "Yesterday"
    12) "Day Tripper"/"We Can Work It Out"
    13) "Paperback Writer"
    14) "Yellow Submarine"/"Eleanor Rigby"
    15) "Penny Lane"
    16) "All You Need Is Love"
    17) "Hello, Goodbye"
    18) "Lady Madonna"
    19) "Hey Jude"
    20) "Get Back"
    21) "The Ballad of John and Yoko"
    22) "Something"/"Come Together"
    23) "Let It Be"
    24) "The Long and Winding Road"

but perhaps they'd get rid of "Love Me Do" since it only hit #1 upon a recharting. That would give us the 23 singles of this upcoming box.
