No long now! How are we all feeling?

Bob opened with “Ballad of a Thin Man” last night and Neil’s been playing “Over and Over” and “Danger Bird”!

Dylan will hide behind the keyboard and deliver the same setlist
he's been playing everywhere else. Young will be the second act.
I doubt if they will play together.

I am down in London and ready to go!

Would be great to meet up but highly unlikely amongst 60,000 people but you never know.... I will be the blond guy with either a “Keep On Rocking In The Free World” or a “Bob Dylan and His Band (in Blackpool on the back)” T Shirt with a NYAS badge.... not sure whether to show my allegiance to the Neil or Bob tribe especially as I am really in both!

Neil played On The Beach the other night, apparently the first time in 47 years and is in great form on his German tour.

I think that might be 17 years. Forty seven years ago was before the song was recorded.

Try moving to another spot. I saw Paul Simon, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor there last summer and then sound was great. If you move more centrally it should improve (unless that’s where you are)

I hope it improves for you. I love their summer series of concerts. This is the first time in 3 yrs we’re not going. I love Neil Young & Dylan but saw Dylan around 2002/3 and it was not good so don’t imagine he’s improved but I certainly hope he has. Neil though should be great!

Neil was on good form, but the sound was muddy for much of the set and his guitar was often indistinguishable in the overall sound.

It was better in the songs with more open arrangements - Love And Only Love was fantastic. I thought Promise of the Real were great.

Dylan - I don’t know what to say. I was in hysterics for most of what I saw: surely he’s having us on? Desecrating some of the greatest songs ever written. I left after 30 ludicrous minutes.

Massive difference between bands for Neil and Bob tonight.
    Bob’s like a funky chicken and tight as a crab’s ****. Neil’s like a plodding train.

Neil is under-stimulated with POTR. He should take a lesson from Bob and find musicians who can serve the songs and learn to leave spaces.

    Desecrating?

Dylan has changed the arrangements of his songs live for a long, long time. It's his prerogative, as they all belong to him. Don't criticize what you can't understand....
