Jason Falkner's two first solo albums are excellent. And his one-off side project with The Greys, Ro Sham Bo, is even better (one of my favorite 1990s albums).

 

I should've added Everything But The Girl to my list. Walking Wounded and Elemental are fantastic. The latter is among my all-time favorite albums.

What's a post '80s band? Are we referring to releases or founding of the band.

Example: The Clash's London Calling is often considered best '80s album. What's the ruling on this? The album was actually release in late December 1979.

I consider the Clash to be an '80s band.
