    We had it right!!

Aw man, the speculation part about that is over. Phoooey.

    23 singles, eh? I'm betting it's 1.

Was wondering about this, thanks for confirming. Was wondering if Come Together and Silver Hammer where different versions. Great news.

Exactly. It seems that they have felt all along through these projects that they need to give material acknowledgement to George Martin and his legacy.

And I can't say that I disagree with that approach, and the resulting decisions.

    1 amounts to 24 singles:
    01) "Love Me Do"
    02) "From Me to You"
    03) "She Loves You"
    04) "I Want to Hold Your Hand"
    05) "Can't Buy Me Love"
    06) "A Hard Day's Night"
    07) "I Feel Fine"
    08) "Eight Days a Week"
    09) "Ticket to Ride"
    10) "Help!"
    11) "Yesterday"
    12) "Day Tripper"/"We Can Work It Out"
    13) "Paperback Writer"
    14) "Yellow Submarine"/"Eleanor Rigby"
    15) "Penny Lane"
    16) "All You Need Is Love"
    17) "Hello, Goodbye"
    18) "Lady Madonna"
    19) "Hey Jude"
    20) "Get Back"
    21) "The Ballad of John and Yoko"
    22) "Something"/"Come Together"
    23) "Let It Be"
    24) "The Long and Winding Road"

but perhaps they'd get rid of "Love Me Do" since it only hit #1 upon a recharting.

    Oh! Sounds nice!!

That probably means every Beatles single. Maybe 'Long And Winding Road/For You Blue' will be part of it.

A singles box is something I really don't need since I have all the US singles with picture sleeves (if they came with one). I suppose they are leaving out: My Bonnie, Why, Ain't She Sweet, Sie Liebt Dich, Matchbox, Sweet Georgia Brown.

Fact is, in this 24h-a-day connected era, secrets are getting harder and harder to keep. And no matter what Apple does, info leaks will always make it through. There’ll always be a Deep Throat spoiling the surprise (thankfully, from OUR point of view).

So... if I were them, I’d make an announcement sooner than expected :blah:

When you find out the mystery box is just a singles box:

Sounds like a pointless release (singles box). At least we have the Abbey Road box to look forward to

I'm well aware of that. I listed the songs from 1 in their original single incarnation. Are you saying this singles box is ONLY UK singles?

Well, it could've been the singles from 1 since the marketing team loves milking that.

So if it's UK, what's the 23rd single? The UK catalogue is 22 singles.

There will be a surprise regarding the sleeves, but I won't say a word, if someone else do it, I'm OK, all in proper time but remember: IT'S BEAUTIFUL!

I was hoping for a AAA vinyl reissue cut from tape. The only details on the coming vinyl box are that the original album disc features Giles' remix. Am I right thinking that means they'll be cutting from files? Do people still remix to a master tape?
