Hmm... maybe it'll be the UK singles but with partly new created picture sleeves (with photos accurately fitting to the band's eras).

Like Not Guilty on White album 50 box, a different take can be included than what was on Anthology 3. For example, the "legendary" Beatles run thru of "Come and Get It" is what people are asking about...……...

Exactly.. Come and Get It can be remixed to sound amazing.. and it's hardly wasting space when these discs will be around 50 min each if Pepper and White are sets to go by.

Come And Get It definetky belongs to this period and its inclusion on Anthology 3 kinda made that official. A new stereo remix would’ve been nice!

But we don’t know Apple’s long term plans and so perhaps this is being saved for a revamped Anthology audio and video set in a few years time.

  11. Did not know the extra overdubs were all by George. I doubt it was just him and an engineer present, though, as Paul’s fingerprints are all over just about everything of the Medley.

I had kept myself from listening to Abbey Road for the past few months now but it just pulled me in today. Man, the album sounds so good, production perfection by the Fabs and team!

I always look forward to the remixes and think Giles & Sam did really well with the White Album. But Abbey Road is going to be a tough one to crack, can’t wait to see how it sounds refreshed!

The absence of hires original mix on the Blu-ray will be disappointing. If not a flat transfer, then I would’ve happily taken an unlimited version of the 24/44.1 USB version.

We appreciate you and mike, but I’m glad he gave us a track-listing that mike hasn’t denied.

Perhaps more basic than that? Since it is a composition by Martin, perhaps then the Martin estate gets in on royalties from the sale of the deluxe sets? Remember this has been done before, such as on Anthology and the White album...a beginning.

What? No Beatles Movie Medley? I'm shocked and stunned...very stunned! :D

  17. It’s actually just Paul on the Come and Get It demo, playing all instruments.

I have heard two different mixes of Come and Get It—presumably, the original mix and the “Sessions” remix used on Anthology—and agree that it is screaming for a “proper” remix. As is, both were sort of slap-dab affairs, fitting for a demo but not polished enough for radio or LP release.

all I'll say is whether true or not, It was completely unwise and there will be fallout. Not to the ordinary member here but it will now make some stuff I had that is nowhere in the generic information impossible to share down the road. really cool tidbits

I believe the story is that when the EMI archives were first scoured in the seventies for outtakes, it was assumed that Ringo was the drummer, and therefore labelled as being the Beatles. By the time they found out it was all Paul, it was already part of their small cache of Beatles outtakes, and was ultimately mixed for Sessions.

I'm just praying the main remix is on a 180 gram CD.

Yes, I'd personally much prefer John Cage's version of Silver Hammer!

"I Want You" sounds a cut below to my ears. Like it was engineered for "Get Back", rather than Abbey Road. Ringo's cymbals, which he's playing a lot, sound dull and heavy. All those guitar overdubs could be positioned better, for impact. I'm betting the remix of this one will be worth the price of admission!

No, quite. Any full singles set should have Please Please Me included too, regardless of whether a number one or not!
