What I meant when I previously said that we all ready have them I meant that here in the US we have at least seen them

This is, as they say, neither fish nor flesh is it? If it is meant to be a definitive UK singles box, why not include the original B sides for Free As A Bird and Real Love (which were both released on vinyl I believe). Where are Yesterday and Back In The USSR which both charted in the UK in the 70s when they were released as singles? Where is Baby Its You (live at the BBC) which was another hit single, not to mention the risible Beatles Movie Medley (a hit) or Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band/With A Little Help From My Friends which was also issues as a single in the late 70s (not a hit)?

Agreed. I have all the 45s but most come with a generic sleeve, and I'm not interested in hunting down an expensive set of original picture sleeves.

Ok. Anyway, I would welcome a good selection of picture sleeves from around the world, and would prefer that to the 80s box job.

This is somewhat like toy suitcases, colored Christmas vinyl, and unicorns adorned with candy canes .
I know some people collect 45's as a hobby, are collectors. And there's nothing wrong with that.
But are these more for show and looking at? Like a large impressive book to put on the coffee table and show off during the holidays?
Or do some people do some serious listening to Beatles vinyl singles?
Getting up and down to put on another 45.

Maybe there are still record players that drop another 45 down after the other one is done playing.
Will they be in mono or stereo?
I've got some Beatles mono cassette singles.
That I find hard to listen to, except for Paperback Writer.
    And Rain.
But I like how they look and they add to my extensive Beatles cassette collection
And I admittedly am a bit of a Beatles cassettes nut.

There goes my dream of the Beatles Capitol Albums, Volume I, II, and III in vinyl.
No problem. My turntable hasn't been used since 1989.

At the end of the year there will be a new box set. No press release or official news yet. Probably October.

Baby Its You is more appropriate to an EP set. The others were record company releases which I presume the Fabs don't approve of

Yes, I know that but weren’t these songs released on LP in 2015?

I wonder if the original tapes will be used for Please Please Me/Ask Me Why with the original EQ and dry vocal on Ask Me Why.
And which version of Love Me Do, the original or the album version which was substituted for the single in later pressings?

I believe (and I'm sure I'll get corrected if I'm wrong) that those were four-song EPs, not singles.

Only on CD. On 7” vinyl, they were classic two-track singles.

I’m betting on the least path of resistance being taken. I hope I’m wrong.

A stereo mix of Yes It Is was made back in early 1965. It just sat in the tape vault untouched for a lot of years.

I wouldn't bet the ranch on it. Just look for a nice 1976 UK reissue single.

Cheers for the correction. It's been an awful long time since I saw either of those 7" singles.

The 2009 remasters of course. After all, Apple wants to give us the "best sound available."

Total lack of imagination on Apple's part. Hard pass for me.

I'm not interested in a box of singles. If you go through this thread, there were much more creative and imaginative ideas.
