I thought he was worse in the 90s.

Ha, I don't Neil fans have to ignore the review... author readily admits he's really there for Bob and also apparently had to take a piss (U.S. style) during Neil's set so perhaps he couldn't focus on the show.

Actually, Dylan did get get a gig, playing harmonica, as a studio musician, on a Harry Belefonte track in 1961. The way he played was purposeful and in no way reflected an inability to play.

Dylan's technical skills on mouth harp and acoustic guitar seems to have eroded over the decades. Or more likely, he stopped practicing or focussing on it. His very first album displays very impressive harp and fingerpicking skills.

Even into the nineties, he still had the skills on the two folk cover albums.
    Also, great harp on "Jokerman"...

They were indeed. Saw him with the Trans Band in 82 at Wembley Arena and it was....... Ok. Was at Hyde Park last night at POTR add so much to Neil's music. Still wish he'd stop playing Love and Only Love though... So tired of that song.

I was at Hyde Park last night and thought Dylan was pretty enjoyable. So ya, boo and sucks to the naysayers! If you love Dylan, listen to the records, if you want duplication of the records, don't bother seeing him live. Do your research before booking a ticket, there's enough reviews/reports on his recent shows for people to make up their mind. I'm not for one minute saying the show was perfect/wonderful but it was good, just dissing it is in my opinion, a bit lazy. And if that offends people on here, sorry but Dylan doesn't owe anybody anything.

I love seeing Bob Dylan in concert. He’s the best he’s been in years (1996 - 2002 were, for me, his peak of the Never Ending Tour). I know what to expect with singing/rearrangements/ignoring the crowd.....I don’t care.....love his shows. If he come to the Beacon Theater for an extended run again this November, I’ll go to at least 3 of them.

(If you cant stand him......fine too)

Dylan had a head -to-toe static colour video on the screens. Not any of the Oldchella silliness.

The above clip includes a sign language guy in the bottom of the screen. May be amusing to some and possibly a Dylan first.

I went to Kilkenny last night with Mrs. Stewedandkeefed (my much better half) - my first time seeing Neil or Bob outside of North America (ditto the Mrs.) It was a fun night. I probably preferred Neil’s set. One thing that was infectious was Promise Of The Real loved playing with Neil Young and that came across. “Like An Inca”, four songs from Ragged Glory, “Throw Your Hatred Down”, “Piece Of Crap”. Neil shamelessly milked the finale of “Rockin’ In The Free World” but it got the crowd going.
Bob was Bob and it was interesting to hear “ Will The Circle Be Unbroken” with Neil but it was a bit ragged. Otherwise “Can’t Wait” was the highlight in its new arrangement. Heard something on Irish radio this morning.
DJ - What about Bob Dylan?
Correspondent- Turned his back to the crowd, never said a word, mumbled his way through every song, didn’t play the hits.
DJ - What did you think?
    Correspondent- Absolutely brilliant.

Here is a decent film of Bob and Neil together in Kilkenny. Bob’s heavy phone security fortunately a bit too far from the guy doing the filming.
