Insert the they had 15 years to make sure the battery for the packaging worked before making an album release date announcement joke here ___________.
Very droll. Justin Bieber's music is not my scene. I can take it or leave it, and I choose to leave it to the millions of people who actually do like him. No need to get our knickers in a twist when he surprises everyone by expressing a liking for Tool. By doing so, some of his fans might discover that they like Tool as well. And that can't be bad. Live and let live. It's only music.
I just hope they don't put out an insanely limited edition like they did for the 21st anniversary or something of Opiate. I think there were 5 or 6 variants, all offering not a single new note of music priced at $125 each I believe.
It would be funny if everyone gets their copy on release day and the disc is unplayable because the battery exploded inside the packaging in transit.
I will just be happy to get a copy either on CD or Hdtracks. I don’t need packaging that requires batteries.
Is this a clue? Is it going to be a concept album based on the 1987 Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn film? If so, I'm very in.
They also posted an image of Opiate today on their Insta with the release date in the comments. I wonder if they'll be kind of "counting down" (or up) by release to the reveal of the new album title & a preorder this way? Tool on Instagram: “March 10th, 1992”
Well perhaps the album will be Egyptian themed. After all, the video accompanying the live performances of one of the new songs is focused on a pyramid... Man, trying to figure out what Tool are doing is like reading ancient runes sometimes.
