That's a shame. Was obviously my favorite track in the movie. But it did seem an odd choice to use Mick's demo version, which wasn't officially available at the time.

My favorite musical scene is Pitt driving up to the ranch as Los Bravos “Bring A Little Lovin’” plays on the car radio. Also at the very end of the credits you hear a radio spot for a KHJ promotion with Batman & Robin (that is also on the soundtrack). Very cool.

That spot played at the exact moment my wife said, "Why are Adam West and Burt Ward thanked in the credits?" :)

heh. The local reviewer said something like 'Tarantino has to satisfy his foot fetish, so we are treated to several shots of women's feet throughout.'

Did anyone else think the music didn’t have enough Umph? I saw it in two different theaters and neither showing impressed me.

In terms of sound mix, or general tempo? If the former, yeah, but I assumed that's because it was being played in stereo.

So much stuff it was like a David Hockney assemblage of soundbite. Almost too
    Many, but I enjoyed them.

I thought the songs were too low in the mix. I never got a real punch from anyone that got my foot tapping, mixwise. PRAT I guess. Lol! Just kidding!

I HATED “Django Unchained”. Fortunately, I really liked “The Hateful Eight”.

This new one sounds good as I’m big history buff. That said, I do NOT like alternative historical narratives like “Inglorious Basterds”. I hated that movie, in fact.

If this takes liberties with historical facts, I’ll hate this, too.

Every article I've read says Quentin veers away from the facts, as he always does.

It’s obvious, at this point, I’m a terrible drunk. There are reasons for that. Yet, no excuse.

I’m glad you enjoyed the movie.

    Peace

I admit, I felt a smidge of Michigan pride when "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man" came on Brad's radio. (Our theater was about 2 blocks from Punch Andrews's office where the placement was probably approved, ha.)

I saw this film earlier tonight and loved it. It's not a masterpiece, but I get the vibe that it wasn't meant to be. It's a love letter to the 1960s in general and Hollywood in particular. You can never quite call any film of Tarantino's a small film, but this is as close as I've seen one get. It's intimate and it looks wonderful and it has some very good performances in it. I almost cried when I saw the scene Luke Perry is in because he died much too young and because his scene is perfect.

I’m pretty sure the Stones have this agreement to allow their music to be put in films, but they aren’t issued on soundtracks. Same goes in The Big Chill, Bottle Rocket, Fantastic Mr. Fox, etc.

That version is limited to opening weekend, 15 per showing.

But there will be other releases including coloured vinyl I think in September.

Amoeba apparently sold out their copies. Supposedly they had 500.

I think the UK will get some as well for their opening day.
