Make-a-soundtrack: hypothetical Tarantino Swinging London movie...

We are all familiar with Mr. Tarantino’s ability to compile some excellent soundtracks to his movies, as most recently observed for his film depicting late-1960s Los Angeles in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. I can’t help but wonder how Mr. Tarantino would approach a soundtrack depicting the other side of The Atlantic the same time. Any help making a soundtrack to this hypothetical Tarantino movie would be appreciated.

I imagine this as a kind of Quentin's back-to-the-roots flick, in the style of Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, but of course set in 1960s London. I'd love to see him do that.

 

I think that 'Waterloo Sunset' is a lovely vignette about life in 'Swinging London', especially with the mention of two big actors from the era, and I also think that 'Dedicated Follower Of Fashion' links in nicely with the booming fashion scene in London at the time in Carnaby Street and with new brands like Biba and Mary Quant and the big models of the day such as Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton.

 

Wow. Eclectic, and perfect with the mood and setting.

 

Yeah. In retrospect, this might be the single most succinct song in terms of how it paints a certain time in history.

If the premise is late 1960s, half of the tracks you list make no sense.
