One could ask the question, "can there be a Monty Python thread that just doesn't turn into pages and pages of people quoting their work?"

To which I would answer, "I've told you once..."

 

I can't find any information on a US release for the restored Blu-Ray/DVDs.

 

There has been no announcement regarding a US release. Only the UK limited edition complete set has been mentioned, to be followed by individual series releases at a later date.

I hate waiting!

 

This is basically me, but with Benny Hill Although Out of the Python discs you have, I've got:

and of course I'll be getting the new Flying Circus set.... My BRAIN HURTS!!

 

Your Life of Brian is probably the “Immaculate Edition” version, which is the blu-ray remaster but on DVD. I’ve held onto this old one because it’s the only place you can get the BBC “The Pythons” documentary.

Just upgraded to the 40th anniversary Holy Grail blu ray too, so the old version is going to my British comedy loving friend at work.

 

I wish they would reveal when on Monday this will go on sale. Then again, that Prisoner LE set is still available.

I'm in the U.S. and have hacked OPPO players that handle anything I've thrown at them. Should I request the 50i version? Will the 60i version be lesser quality and give me repeated frames?

 

I just requested the 50i version. Hopefully they agree.

I just ordered, but I didn't see an option to select 50i or 60i. Not sure which one I got.
