Can't imagine preferring the Readers Digest version of that epic tune.

Is the teaser the actual album cover?

I mean, I get it after hearing how the name came about...but it was still a WTF moment when I first heard the title. Like, wouldn't the grammatically correct title be "The Fog Is More Rainy" perhaps? lol

Closer to 11 minutes, if the edit on the Echoes best of is any indication.

While I have to admit, just 7 tracks seems a bit slight, I'm sure the whole thing is quite a ride and this is a band that doesn't do anything that's not epic.

Not the album art, if you're talking about the promo teaser. Album art hasn't been revealed yet.

Quality over quantity all day every day is all I gotta say.

This. I’ll take 7 actual tracks over 7 tracks and 4 fillers.

People are already disappointed with the album and a proper single hasn’t even been released. Comedy.

This seems to be how it is for some reason. Some people seem to be quick about dismissing an album before they ever get a chance to hear it.

Better than The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, in my opinion. :D

I'm sure where Layne and the original band members are from much less where they went back to, to record it had nothing to do with it..... Rainier Fog

Does anyone else think it's just ludicrous that there are no preorder options this close to a release date? We are ticking inside of a month to the release now.....

Like I said, "I get it after hearing how the name came about...but it was still a WTF moment when I first heard the title"

And Studio X is 2 hours drive away from Mount Rainier, more if it's rainier. lol

It's 2019 and they're on Sony. The digital release will be first priority — physical versions should follow in due course

I realize you're not being completely serious.

Still, it is hard to think of AiC separate from the bubble of the Seattle scene it emerged from though and the name (having once lived in Seattle for quite some time) struck a note with me immediately. When you're in Seattle Mt. Rainier just kind of ominously looms about in the distant horizon. Rather like, I'm sure the spectre of Layne's death does with the band. Very potent imagery in my opinion, which matches the song presence and darkness perfectly on that new album.

    Just my 2¢...

This is making me think it's less likely there is a special deluxe edition type vinyl release? I hope that isn't the case but I wouldn't put it past Tool to just release a CD and normal LP set.

No kidding, hoping that is just a promo.

At least with Devil Put Dinosaurs we eventually got a mastering that shows there are dynamics in the stereo master, went from DR5 to DR10, thank you Columbia. Wish they’d do the same for BGWTB and RF.

I’m thinking the vinyl will not have an August 30th street date at this point...unless they pulled some serious strings at a pressing plant.

I just hope they use one of the better options (QRP or RTI).

An absolutely eye-rolling good time witnessing the absurdity.
As soon as any new material is released I'll be avoiding discussion threads like the plague.
