Sounds like Tool wants to do this old school.

The album will be, and be more than excellent.

No, but by obvious care taken to avoid a rushed product in spite of the time already passed, I fully expect and endorse my sentiments.

My context belongs to the the thought that once the band had the freedom to create the album, without the full weight of outside influences, they most certainly could have cobbled together older, unused material and thrown it out to the thirsty.

Clearly not whats happening here. To have a public interest in a band that's last release was as long ago in years as the Eagles had been broken up is mind numbing in this age. It's going to be worth the wait.

Never could have conceive that comparison with a band like Tool in 10,000 days.

That's basically comparing an Axl solo album that sounds like it was home-recorded, to a band with 3/4 of it's original members intact (and one member that's been with the band approaching 25 years) who's made a new studio album properly.

Latest issue of Revolver magazine has an interview with the band. Justin confirms 7 tracks and 2 segues.

Interviewer says nearly 85 mins of music so maybe we are getting 5 more minutes then we previously thought!

Isn't the max that a CD can hold 80 min?

What’s that trick where they make a CD track count backwards?

I decided to put Aenima on. "Pu****" is still one of the best songs ever...by anyone.

I am finally in full excitement mode for the new album.

Why the censorship? Pretty sure it's just "Push It" squished together, at least according to the lyrics.

It's a magnificent song. And the reworked live version on Salival is mind-blowing. Really pointed the way to the epic stuff they were going to do on Lateralus.

I wonder if Pitchfork will find a less pretentious prick to write the review for the new album than the clown who did the one for 10,000 days? Not liking an album is one thing but when you can tell the reviewer was picked on all of their childhood and probably their adult life there is a problem.
