I’d guess they didn’t press all 9,000 copies allowed by the contract. Plus they may only keep a certain number themselves.

Hopefully they keep some extras around in case of quality control issues.

The extras might be part of a 2nd batch. I wouldn’t be shocked if replacements aren’t available right away.

Me too. These next couple of months are more like Blood on My Wallet.

Mine is on its way. What’s this one the eighth in the series with a further 7 announced. I wonder how many they will do? I don’t see any reason for them to stop whilst they can license titles and they are selling out.

So why aren't you throwing up on your boss and telling them you have to go home sick? That's what I would do.

I am so torn about whether or not to get this. I preordered it on Amazon.ca when it first went up, thinking I had months to decide. Then someone here posted a while back that it was shipping right away. I cancelled preorder and have had it on my wishlist since.

Last night I listened again to the pressing I own right now.

Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks

This one sounds fantastic to me, but I am sure the one step is much better. I have that pressing, More Blood More Tracks, plus a bad copy of the RSD test pressing and it’s replacement(arrived today).

I will probably wait and read what some of you think once you listen to your one steps.

    Cheers

768/9000 is here. I have to run it through a cleaning before playing it. This is my first exposure to this new vinyl formulation. I was surprised at how translucent it is. It all looks pretty nice. Very consistent with other 1 step releases. Two records, big box, lots of wasted space.

Did I really need another copy of this album? Of course not. I have it on CD, SACD and multiple vinyl pressings. Still, it’s a favorite and there really was no way I wasn’t going to try this UD1S (Fragile is a similar situation for me). Is this the best this has ever sounded? That’s not a question I’m capable of answering, even for myself.

What we get with this is a nice quiet pressing, deluxe (perhaps overdone) packaging and impressive sound. There’s great detail, sense of space and presence. It is as if Mr. Zimmerman is sitting between your speakers. The content is, of course, beyond reproach.

The original pressings sound fantastic. The MoFi 33 1/3 does as well. I fell in love with this album on CD but the SACD took it over the top for me. All of these are great. Is this one worth $125? The answer here will be different for everyone but it is for me. I couldn’t have missed out on this take of a favorite album. Now, I just need more space.
