It was a electronically modified flute, not a sax, you're right.
By the way, does anybody know if Martin Fierro was his real name? I ask this because Martín Fierro is also classic literary character from my country, and that coincidence has always drawn my attention.

I’m not sure but I haven’t ever come across a mention of another name for him. I suppose he could have been named after the character.

It's a possibility, or maybe it's just a big coincidence. Anyway, excellent woodwind player.

IMHO... 5 Days is their crowning masterpiece. I don't have spotify, but that's a major shame if it is missing 5 Days in July. So many fantastic songs on that one...

Jerry backing up Daniel Salazar from TV's Fear the Walking Dead! Nice.

Of all of the musicians turned actors out there, Ruben Blades is certainly one of the most talented.

Parking lot, movie screen. I can't feel anything
Cigarette, beat up tv, I can't feel anything.
    Now that I'm,
    I'm in town
    I feel fine
    Fine for now
Hang around with the people I used to be
Hang around on a corner waiting to go, have a seat
    Now that I'm
    I'm in town
    I feel fine
    Fine for now

    Inn Town

What a great record! Ryan nailed that 90s alt country sound and his song writing was pretty damn good this early too!
