I've said in other threads-if they released Esher (which of course they did), I don't see any reason not to expect at least one disc of Twickenham and Apple non-tracked nagra rehearsals. They can clean up the beeps, demix-not so much to create a faux stereo, but to properly mix some parts, and you have numerous songs with the full band playing. There has to be at least one band version of ATMP-even if frankensteined.

A second full disc of Apple tracked outtakes-rehearsals-alt versions (include 1970 Peggy Sue Got Married-if listenable).

A remastered Spector Let it Be.

I would like a separately packed (within the deluxe box) Get Back hybrid of the best new mix of the Glyn Johns mixes-with the stairway cover and all. Also sold individually. I would best compare my vision of the packaging to the 2011 Beach Boy Smile. Most doubtful though.

Save the complete roof-top convert for bonus material on the Peter Jackson package.

Can't say I'm too excited about this one. We already have a remix, though it isn't great. We've heard all the bootleg material, most of which is downright depressing. I can't see us getting any big surprises.

The remixed movie should be good, though!

But the only sources are the mono Nagra film reels with disrupting synch beeps? Not easy to work with. Bootleggers have tried and created stereo versions from simultaneous cameras etc..

It is quite possible. I did it myself a few years ago, and it sounds pretty good. Of course, Apple can do it better!

Here's a composite stereo version of Watching Rainbows (with added elements from I've Got a Feeling):

Would you go for something like this on the anniversary release?

That's not too bad actually. Different mixing could tighten things up too.

I assume you meant "Spector" here — or did you?
A case could be made for either one! :tiphat:

I wonder how much, if at all, the "copyright protecting" release-it-in-50-years or it's anyone's status in Europe figures into any decision making regarding the nagra recordings? Part of me expects to see an 86 discs download available of everything on 12/31/19 to "protect" the material then a more carefully curated physical set in the new year? Wishful thinking?

Of course!! The point is there are potentially new Beatles songs around the corner.

I think at least ATMP deserves a Beatles version. It's such a great song!!

I haven't. Many fans don't buy bootlegs. Most of the general public either.

That's right. The fact is at no other sessions were The Beatles in such impromptu-mode. Not only at Twickenham but also on the Apple sessions (which by the way were being recorded on 8 tracks if I remember correctly).

Many fans don't buy bootlegs. (Ahh, but many fans DO buy bootlegs...)(just a point of clarification). Most of the general public either. (Absolutely true.)

The fact that most people don't buy (or listen to) bootlegs is a good indicator that they won't mind/care/realize if some frankensteined tracks are included on the anniversary release. Another reason to go for that approach, at least on some cases.

Apple know that those fans who buy bootlegs:
1.represent a small portion of potential buyers
    2. will probably buy any official product anyway

Also, letting bootlegs (which is unofficial product) dictate their releases would be morally wrong. They should not be acknowledged.

Exactly. When LIBN came out, some fans complained that they had edited together such and such take. It never bothered me, since I hadn't listened to all the original takes. To me it's the same as the edits made to create a new album.

I just recently got a bootleg set of all of the tapes. It is 82 or 83 pressed CDs. (The cost was about $2.50 per disc. [$200]) I'm covered.
