I don't think the medley is a new mix (I could be wrong)....I think it's the rough mix they did back in 69 to see how the medley would flow...

I like the idea of "alternative LP". Pepper was that way as well.

Why didn't they include a flat transfer in this set? Is there a planned analog stereo set? Will they remix revolver next?

I think the 2009 stereo has the best sounding drums in Something. Simple, calm, but everything is audible.
In the 1+ mix the kick drum has very "thin" sound. IMO, Giles improved it a bit in the latest mix.

Yep we know from previous Giles mixes that he loves putting vocals up front, and backing vocals even more so. The solo does sound a bit odd but it might just be EQ or effect choices. The guitar track on the Rock Band mix has the same distorted sound, as does the 1+ mix.

Same here. Almost fainted. It was my favorite photo session, being the final time they were photographed together. Glad some of it showed up in Anthology DVD.

I was wondering if we gonna get high resolution audio of all the albums (in mono and stereo) sometime.
Maybe after some more box sets (including an expanded Anthology release).

That's no true. At that moment Abbey Road wasn't an idea or a defined project. Probably John wanted to use it as a single.

Did they ever nab the insider that released all those goodies in the 80's?

I love all the photos from that session, too! Okay, time to resume it, as it fits to the period Abbey Road came out.

Well, Sgt Peppers session starts with a track that wasn´t on the album, and the idea of the Pepper itself only appears in february 67.
The band wasn´t with AR in mind, but looking the timeline, it starts with I Want You, even without them realizing.

Although the Get Back sessions officially ended in late January that year I assume they had in mind recording more songs as part for the film.
There's also that 'mysterious' session in early February at Savile Row, the first one after Paul shaved his full beard and John started to grow his.
We still don't know exactly what songs they performed at that day, but speculate 'I Want You' was in the plan even then.

Possibly those extra overdubs for "Don't Let Me Down", which have never been accounted for.

One minor bitch. They had videos. They had video of this shoot at tittehurstt. Why not issues that as well as how they make the remixes. The process without giving trade secrets. Play snippets of the original master with Giles at the board. Etc come on Apple. You're better than this.

Me, one because it's made at optimal which they make quality products from great pvc. And they polish their plates first. To eliminate pops or imperfections. Also got the SDE because it was cheap.
