I've never been a joiner, but watching the first season, I longed for a place like that, where diversity and eccentricity are welcomed, and where weirdos can have a few drinks in a comfy setting.

Really? I didn't even notice him.

I had completely forgotten what happened at the end of Season 1. So, I was wondering why Dud was in the hospital, etc. Strangely, Season 1 isn't available OD via FiOS nor on the AMC app. I could have bought episodes via Amazon, but didn't. I finally found synopses on Wikipedia.

Favorite quote from the Season 2 premiere (paraphrased): "You have the Light Side of Life, where you go to work, eat burritos..."

I've forgotten so many details of the first season that I'm going to have to freshen up a bit on it so this season will make more sense. I like it. I will say that the quick demise of The Captain last season left me a little disappointed. I would have liked to see that play on a bit longer.

The Captain was hilarious. The scene with him, Dud and Ernie in an inflatable pool behind the trailer is an all time classic.

Just started watching the new episode. It's great to get to hang out with the gang from Long Beach again. So, Paul Giamatti, the writer with his typewriter ("Society needs me! I'm a genius who creates timeless works of literature!") has to be a parody of L. Ron Hubbard, right?

Probably my second favorite TV show right now, just behind Better Call Saul.

Episode 2...hmmm...a whole lot of crazy stuff going on. But I guess that's the norm for Lodge 49.

The best part of the episode for me was Liz and Dud chastising Bobby (her ex) for not knowing about Huell Howser and California's Gold.

Jeremy: Tell me about your last job experience.
Liz: My boss was a total psycho, he was busted by the Feds.
Jeremy: Well, that sounds challenging. And, um, fulfilling. :p

If things don't work out for Cheech, he has a future as a folk artist!

Based on previews for next weeks show, it looks like she blows that up again!

I mean Janet stole her ship-jumping story. The writing is on the wall.

She is possibly the most interesting character. She has a lot of depth, but she realizes her own limitations in life, and she can't resist lashing out and ruining any possibility for success. She's a complete opposite to her brother.

One of the funniest among many non-sequitur scenes in the show is when we suddenly see Liz and Alice in the apartment. They're obviously drinking. Liz is harnessed to the coffee table and trying to drag it across the floor, while Alice cheers her on. Suddenly, the rope breaks, and Liz smashes the wall mirror.

That was in the first season, and that mirror is still broken in the second season.
