Never thought of it like that, making it hard for counterfeiters. Stuff us fans who have had about 20% added to the cost of the immersion sets for a load of useless tat.

It's taking exactly as long as planned. Victims of our own expectations.

Here's some interesting answers from David and Nick from an interview about A Momentary Lapse of Reason :)

Dave Gilmour: "It's hard to explain Yet Another Movie. It's a more surrealistic effort than anything I've attempted to do before. I've tended to stick within personal experience and reality very much; but I have a desire, without getting into fiction and little stories about other people (which I generally don't care for), to find a broader base to write things about - and that's an attempt to do that. I'm very fond of it, but I don't even know what all of it means myself!" [TAP 53]

Nick Mason: "It's one of my favorites on the album, I think just because of the way it was recorded. It was an unforgettable occasion: this enormous studio with more drums than I've ever seen in my whole life. We had Jim Keltner's kit, my kit, Steve Forman the percussion player with all his stuff, and two of these people known as 'drum doctors' who are ultra-specialist drum people. They set the drums up, tune them and so on — bring you seven snare drums and say 'Which one do you think you would like to use for this?' Just the power and the sound of all that air being moved by these drums... real 'drum city' in there that day! In the past, we've used musicians other than the group, even if they haven't always been credited: it doesn't mean that I'm not playing on all the tracks. On Yet Another Movie, all three of us played together — the percussionist, Jim Keltner and me. We drummed in unison but, at other times, I kept the rhythm whilst the others played fills. It's a different approach which benefits the music."

I found it after a Google search for the meaning of the lyrics for Yet Another Movie.
An interesting fact that I totally forgotten is that the spoken words during the song is from the movie Casablanca, I gotta watch the movie soon and see if I can't spot it :)

TAP53 by the looks of it. If you don’t know what TAP is it’s the old fanzine The Amazing Pudding.

It’s not hard to miss. It’s the climactic scene where Rick tells Ilsa to get on the plane with her husband. “If you don’t get on that planet you’ll regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life.”

I’m about to head for Ukraine for 10 days. I’d really like to see Pripyat, but not sure how I feel about taking the kids. (Aside from the cost).

Wow, never heard that before. I didn't realise there were any leaked session recordings from 1986.

That video only has about 100 views and has been on YT since April. Interesting.

My first post here. One little detail more which I think fits perfectly to the discussions so far. In 2008 I had the opportunity to interview David Gilmour. One of my question was about the following case!

You mentioned in an Interview that you want to remix the Pink Floyd Album A Momentary Lapse of Reason? Is this still something you would like to do one day?

DAVID GILMOUR: Yes, that is something that is one my thoughts, one of my line of thought, cause I think we were rather to enchanted with some of the 80s technology and we could make it sound like much nicer album if we would remix it. So that’s a possibility.

Like most others here I would LOVE to hear this Version of A Momentary Lapse of Reason! Fingers crossed! Best wishes
