So we now stop listening to old music because one member was messed up during a portion of their lives ?
I thought that about a few scenes but the second time I watched it I thought it came together beautifully and the longer scenes worked fine. I think you really have to see this film twice before you can really get a handle on it as a cohesive film. Geez, the first time you’re just sitting there taking it all in and trying to simply sort through it all! Once you unpack it, the second time can be spent just seeing it as a movie. I envy those that have the kind of mind that can quickly absorb things and figure it all out immediately as things are being thrown at them...my wife is great at that. I think I am still going to see new things at the fifth viewing! Look forward to the dvd.
With the metoo movement QT doesn’t want get into any more hot water by showcasing the song in a more favorable scene methinks. Of course us fans know better.
I thought it was gonna be a lot better myself. But the end climax scene was a hoot, saved the day. I’ll see the film in the theatre again ( hopefully this time no drop outs) maybe IMAX ( dunno if it was filmed with imax lens ).
Didn’t do his homework there. Or maybe it was a John Wayne /Ford /Searchers homage thing left arm /right arm ..the audience will never know.
The one on the table is Atomic Basie. In addition to the Sinatra Basie on the floor is Art Farmer Meet The Jazztet, The Modern Jazz Quartet Guest Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis The Original Quintet, Kind Of Blue, Sketches Of Spain, etc.
The film felt like a day in a life of a washed up tv actor. But ..the Once..ending was so uplifting and unpredictable made the movie special..think i was the only one laughing in the cinema very funny. Final scene of Rick being introduced to Tate was great as well. Who would have thought Tarantino making a feel -good movie.
