How did u feel a out the 2019 Seattle show? 3rd Stones show for me and while Seattle was good I didn't feel it hit the levels as when I saw them in 89 (Detroit first night) and Wichita 06

Looks like he's still getting his blood drained in Switzerland?

You think this tour is better than Steel Wheels?

People hate "Rocking" because it's been played to death.

Sure, plenty of other songs have been played a billion times, too, but I can accept/understand why they play the hits over and over.

But "Rocking"? It's not a hit or something that stands out as exceptional.

No clue why the Stones latched onto that one as an "evergreen" and not something else!

I think they like "You Got Me Rocking" because it's uptempo, goes by in, what, 3 minutes, and it's fairly current (only 25 years old, ha). Doesn't slam the brakes on the momentum of the show and people can sort of latch onto the "Hey, hey"s.

But yeah, "Love Is Strong" is a way better tune.

Lots of fans saying the Santa Clara was the best show of the tour.

With a couple of notably exceptional shows, "Steel Wheels" left me cold. Still does.

You can quibble with a lot of things about that tour but they were performing at an exceptional standard nightly. 25 song setlist! And, I would argue, the last time crowds really went nuts at their shows. But to each his own...

They were 30 years younger, and so was the fan base. It was their first U.S. tour in 8 years. People were focused on the stage, not their cell phones and Internet forums. Do people go "nuts" these days for bands? It might be an interesting thread. You just can't compare the holistic experience, nor can you underestimate the power of nostalgia. One thing, though: better bass player back then.

And yet Keith a) has more hair than his interviewer; and b) doesn't give a damn what people see or think.

I'm happy to have seen the Boston show-- to date the only one on this stretch with "Ride Em On Down." And It's Only RnR, which hasn't been done too many times.

Some 1989 shows were about the same running time as shows in 2019.

South America and couple places in Europe still go nuts at Stones show or other major rock shows.

Yeah I LOVE Love is Strong, but Jagger can't sing it in this key anymore, ever? hence it's dropped from setlists. It's in an unusually low register. Maybe "manipulated" in the studio? They've NEVER been able to replicate it live properly. So it's put aside... unfortunately.

The debut performance at the MTV VMAs was pretty good, though. It's almost like they got worse at it over time!
