Actually, Hef bought the mansion in 1974: Playboy Mansion - Wikipedia

Don't these writers even try to do fact-checking?

QT said in an interview that the source was an actual aircheck tape, so there you go.

I’m not a Stones expert by any means - but I’ve seen the movie twice, and the version Out Of Time in the movie sounds like the version from the London Years Singles Collection CD box-set. (With string section etc..)

Yup - they're one and the same. Abcko released that version (the Mick & session musicians one, not the full Stones/Aftermath take) as the single off Metamorphosis in '75, which is why it's on The London Years.

Nice! Can you provide more detail regarding “In My Life” - The Music Company?

It's members of The Wrecking Crew covering the Rubber Soul album. It's a double pun because Sharon Tate was in the Dean Martin film The Wrecking Crew.

Produced by the guy from the Teddy Bears ...... Marshall Lieb

Don Randi, Hal Blaine, Tommy Tedesco, James Burton etc etc play the American Rubber Soul album right through. A little too much keyboard for my liking but worth a listen.

This is the best track left off the official soundtrack

If you play the sequence of Time for Livin' , In My Life and Soul Serenade on YouTube it really flows nicely.

I’ve listed Vanilla Fudge’s version of The Beat Goes On in my Spotify EXTENDED Once Upon A Time In Hollywood playlist.

If you’ve heard it before, just recently since I Posted it or will listen to it soon ? —is that Sonny and/or Cher’s voice singing beneath the heavenly gurgling psychedelia ?

IF so - would that make it the first “sampled” song - EVER?

Irregardless - it’s a great song for that Soundtrack extension.

@Mylene what did you use for Victorville Blues, I am assuming on digital. I see it on The Hard Ride soundtrack, a European CD on Reel Time which is a label I don't know, but it is pretty tough to find elsewhere.

PBW, any chance you could cut and paste your complete extended playlist. Since I don’t Spotify, I only get the first 30 songs. TIA

Who cares? It's a fictional film not a documentary.

I ripped it off youtube. That's why it's still a work in progress. The quality changes from track to track.

I'm not talking about the film, the complaint is about the ARTICLE. Which says Hef bought it in the mid 1980s. If you're gonna fact-check Tarantino, at least do some §/$&% research! Took me all of 30 seconds!
