Slightly off thread but JPC.DE will get you the Abbey Road Deluxe CD/Blu-Ray for about $140 delivered. Considering JB are listing 175, a 20% off sale there would make it just as competitive. JPC do not add gst and subtract German vat.

And at 37 and 35 GBP respectively we would be MUCH better off without the geoblocking that Amazon au is enforcing! It's over a year since this was implemented by the government and they had two years to prepare for it but they still cry "it's really complicated and we're working on it!" er, no Amazon you are just blocking us to push traffic through your au web site!

Which is one reason I avoid them.

Yes, where possible I buy from ebay, not because I like them but because I avoid Amazon au when there is an alternative.

I still use JB HiFi quite a bit - especially on 20% off days! There's still something wonderful about walking into a store and holding physical product, and not having to worry about postage and poor packing. Unfortunately I have only one independent record/cd store in my city and, while I occasionally buy there, it can't compete with JB in terms of stock. But sadly a lot of my music comes from UK sellers through Ebay as there's so much that isn't released in Australia, or it's ridiculously priced.

I use JB Hifi for Australian stock films and TV shows but they don't import anything that doesn't have a standard au release. I'm old now and most of my music never gets an au release and if it does it twice the price as importing it from overseas.:shake:

I completely agree - it's crazy! I'm also amazed when something arrives from the UK in a week, but if I post from Tas to Perth it usually takes about 10 days!
