    Psurroundabout Ride (cd/blu-ray pre-order)

Psurroundabout Ride gathers all of the Dukes’ material on a CD/Blu-Ray set, with both of the band’s albums (plus 2 extra tracks) remixed in stereo and 5.1 surround by Steven Wilson (approved by Andy Partridge).

The Blu-Ray includes hi-res stereo of the original mixes, demos and instrumental versions of songs.

    Pre-order for 11th October release.

    Hooray!

I wish there would have been more DOTS material than just the 2 records; I can't get enough of it.

Weeeeelllll… like everyone else, I was hoping that the next deluxe BluRay would be 'Rag & Bone Buffet' but I guess this will just have to do. :D

Why do they feel like they need to keep retitling this stuff, though? If they're not gonna use the original album titles, what was wrong with 'Chips From the Chocolate Fireball'?

Ooh! Deffo be ordering that! A great pair of albums. I notice one track is mixed using the Penteo audio system. Anyone ever experienced this?

Awesome. Looking forward to hearing this in kaleidoscopic surround. I'll also be glad to get the video clips.

Coming out of the Pink Floyd early years thread, I must say that XTC has given incredible value for the money with their remix/surround series!

I’ve not heard the results of Penteo that I know of. Maybe some live CDs/blu rays and I don’t even know it?

No mention of a signed postcard yet... Andy mentioned around the time of the last reissue that they were hoping to start the signed postcards again with the next one, presumably starting with him.

Please let us know if you hear anything more about that. I’d go with Burning Shed for sure, but right now I’m waiting on the Amazon pricing.

Thanks for the heads up. This is a tonic after the astonishingly overpriced Floyd set, that I will be ignoring.
    Cheers mate

As Andy isn't on Twitter any more, all we can really do is keep an eye on the Burning Shed site. They should update it if there is a postcard.

The new vinyl pressings are separate - this is a CD/BluRay combo similar to the XTC ones for "Oranges And Lemons", "Skylarking" etc.
