Whenever a store offers me a bag that I don't need, I tell them, "I've got two hands here", taking that straight from Viv Savage in "This Is Spinal Tap". What are your most-used unfamous/obscure movie/TV quotes?
Have no idea if they are unfamous or not... But here is one. "220, 221, what ever it takes." Michael Keaton's character in "Mr. Mom." Anytime someone uses either of those two numbers, but especially if they are used in conjunction with electrical wiring, I and one of my brothers reference that quote, with great delight.
Okay, but it doesn't seem obscure to me. So how do I know if this one is obscure or not? "What's wrong?""I have a headache." "Maybe it's a tumor!""No, iz not ah toomah!" Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Kindergarten Cop"
A couple from Tree's Lounge that come up often in my life for some reason Tommy" "It's a good deal. It's a good deal for me!" Mover Samuel L. Jackson to his young helper, who is moving toward the jukebox: "Don't play no stupid ****!" Helper: "They ain't got no stupid ****."
Obviously "obscure" is a judgment call. I view "obscure" as being quotes not used in memes or known to the general public. "Spinal Tap" comments about going to 11 - not obscure. And the "toomah" bit from "KC" isn't obscure, IMO. If you're 40 or above and you refer to a "toomah", most people will get it!
Every year when Giants receiver Amari Toomer would get taken in our fantasy football draft, it was a lock that someone would follow with “It’s not a Toomer”. Is “So I got that going for me” obscure?
Okay, that's pretty obscure! But do you use it regularly? The quote, that is. No one wants to hear about your prick!
Lol. Yes, I use it but only in certain company. It’s from “Donnie Brasco”. Lefty the mobster was the only man in recorded history to claim to suffer from said condition.
I think 60 percent of what I say are obscure movie quotes..... like a gatling gun (35 secs in) Seven dwarfs, Dumbo (California Split)
My friend uses, “I don’t recall asking you a gd thing” quite often. Mine is, “missed it by that much” (when playing pool) or “not gonna do it” or “this aggression will not stand, man”. None of these are that obscure or original, though.
Never tell anybody outside the family what you’re thinking. From The Godfather. Maybe not very obscure but it’s overshadowed by I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse.
