I bought my Pacific box from the Dead.net site and I am pretty sure my box came from Europe without all those import duties. Same with the 30 Trips box. I do not remember which courier was used but I have no memory of paying import duties which would be enormous so I think I am correct. I shall see the outer box of the Pacific box to see it there is any more information. All the Dave's picks stuff comes from Europe to me in the UK.
Actually, Springsteen did many shows around 4h(35+ songs) in 2016. And that without intermission. The tour closer in Europe was in Finland of all places. Springsteen started with a solo acoustic pre show and played for about an hour to the lucky fans who got in early. Then he and the ESB band played their longest show ever, clocking in at over 4h. Almost 5h worth of music in total. He was 66 at the time. Hardest working man in the biz since James Brown
ah, thats good to know. Thanks for the info. if you still have the outerbox of the pacific set more infos would be welcome!
Pulled out the PNW box last night after listening to some of the shows from the Archive (man do the CDs have some outstanding mastering!) and fell in love with 73/74 all over again. It’s always been my favorite era but have been listening to a lot of 80’s shows the last few months- wanted to bump this as a summer ‘85 run release would be outstanding. I’ve been listening to the ‘91 show that is to be released soon and, as much as I love it, it’s a bit disappointing that with this box release, it’ll likely be a few more years (at least) until we get another opportunity for another “big” 80’s box.
On sale at the Rhino store for $151.98: Pacific Northwest ’73-’74 The Complete Recordings 19-CD Boxed Set - Grateful Dead - Artists
maybe he's just out of his mind. "You can talk yourself into anything. But how do you get out of it?" Neal Cassady
Agreed! Surprised it's still available even at the cost. Prime Dead for sure...Love Vancouver 74....Big River solo Jerry can't stop playing.
Yeah, I really like the 3CD sampler and I've streamed bits and pieces from the shows, but I'm looking forward to having the whole box set. I'll probably get the '77 Get Shown The Light box too as it's also on sale!
