I bought The Early Years on day1 and listen to it greedily and repeatedly for a couple months. The Later Years box set got me excited again and I decided to revisit my Early Years big box after maybe a year without touching it. And to my horrifying surprise, 3 Blu-ray out of 8 are now peeling off and are now unreadable. I'm done with them, I wont give them more money for a product that dont even last 3 years.
Has somebody looked at the signs (of life) on the road? I clearly see a '68', the year Gilmour joined and a P and a D? Or is my enigmatic brain running away with me?
Would it be possible to use all this information to bombard Pink Floyd social media sites. This is the best comments I have seen on any forum. Is this copyright? Thanks for these words.
The question is, why are you looking at a little girl's ass? I disagree with your assessment. She's completely walking away from us and is not doing a Linda Blair impersonation. Should be more obvious when we have the real thing in our hands.
...and whilst we're discussing hidden meanings in PF artwork, here's a couple of nice 'unseen' Lapse cover shots... Unseen Pink Floyd "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" by Robert Dowling — Buy Signed Limited Edition Prints
optimal media GmbH - is this the same company that manufactured the european editions of the immersion boxes, some of which had faulty BDs? What about mail the replacement team asking for new discs? Don't forget to attach this picture.
The center-lower shadow on the dress is completely wrong if the dress was falling over an ass. That has to be deliberately misleading, as the rest of the composition is very accurately drawn.
The David Gilmour Guitar Collection raised $21,000000 it would of been nice for that to subsidise these million dollars sets.
Agreed - that and the bend of her left leg and her right elbow clearly indicate she's walking away, down the road with her bear her hands. Leaving youth behind and entering into The Later Years. And I also agree the lampposts (which do resemble microphones) are pretty clearly stylized DG and NM.
I have been umming and ahhhing about whether to buy the Tangerine Dream “In Search of Hades” boxset for a good couple of months now... £115 for 18 discs and a book felt like a lot of money, even if 8 of the discs contain completely unreleased material. And then I read through this thread. “In Search of Hades” is now on its way from Burning Shed.
This is really frightening. With my Bluray Writer I've managed to engrave myself a backup copy of my DSOTM Immersion Bluray (the original is now unreadable). Do you think I should do backups of those Early Years Blurays also ? This is absolutely important first rate video material, on these discs. I would hate to lose access to that !
You'll love it, it is excellent, from what I have been able to check out so far... If the Floyd price was on par with that excellent set, it would already be on order.
I backed up all of my music blu ray and dvds to a hard drive and then made a back up of that. I'm paranoid enough to be consider getting a third drive just in case. I lost a huge amount of purchased digital music when a drive crashed so now I make multiple copies.
