ha, well it used to be strictly a beer fridge, but now there is more coconut water than I care to admit. Mostly beer though.
I can clearly see that you have your turntable very well isolated from vibrations and such, but learning from past experience, those small fridges like that one often make a LOT of noise and they usually constantly hum! I had one of my wife's wine fridges just around the corner, in another room from our den and listening area and that thing had to go, with all of it's constant noise pollution, that I could hear all the time!
Turn table and a cold beer in one stop, how do you beat that??? Sort of a stereo console for today's modern man.
Josh from Youtube posted up a video and spent a few minutes featuring my setup My setup is the first one that he features.
Very cool setup Kelvin and great that it's getting Josh's coverage...but am I the only one who is surprised that this guy who proclaims to be "well entrenched in the audiophile world" has never heard of Spendor speakers???
Thought the exact thing. That plus his bewilderment that a bunch of the people were using tidal. Seems like a nice enough chap though. Nice system you’ve got there @freesole
I really like Josh's channel. Seems like a good guy that keeps it real. Doesn't seem to use hyperbole and the typical "audiophile" speak when performing his reviews - all to say that I find his channel quite refreshing. I thought the idea of featuring other people's setups on youtube quite original too. Maybe the Spendor comment is due to them not being in the headphone space which I think he started his channel from. Not all that surprising. We are just lucky we discovered Spendor and brands like them so we get to enjoy our music.
Yes, but I do always love their attention to detail on dressing a wire harness. I once opened up my NAC-282 preamp and it's a thing a beauty.
motorstereo, gawd what beautiful looking system. I looked at your profile & no system info?!? C'mon Man, this is a system to be proud of, not mysterious. System looks to be all Mac, except for a possibly electric device on the bottom, & and perhaps a Marantz on the far left side.
